Swedish Zomcast

A couple of days ago I visited the Swedish Zomcast to talk about The Walking Dead and I had a great time. Both the hosts of the show Herman and Jonny and the shows other guest Johan Kimrin was a joy to chat with. If you want to check it out you can do so here. On March 19 I posted the first post here on The Walking Dead News. I did it because I love The Walking Dead in all its forms and because all the news about it threatened to take over the site Lilja’s Library where I originally reported about The Walking Dead news. So I created The Walking Dead News where I now report on anything connected to The Walking Dead.

Since that first post the visitors to this site has gone through the roof. On the day I posted my interview with showrunner Glen Mazzara it was read by more than 4,600 in just a few hours. Now 2012 is coming to an end and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support. The Walking Dead is a great show, a great comic and more. And I’m sure it will run for many years to come. I will try my very best to deliver all the latest news to you, as soon as it’s available.

Hopefully I will succeed in doing this and you’ll find The Walking Dead News a reliable and up to date source for all things connected to The Walking Dead. And hopefully we’ll also interact even more then we have so far. I love talking about the comic and TV series with you all. So keep commenting on the show on twitter, facebook, in emails and here on the site. I love to hear from you. And if you have a picture of yourself, your collection, something you have made that’s connected to The Walking Dead, don’t hesitate to post in on the facebook group.

With that I want to thank you all for a great year and with the hopes that we’ll have an even better 2013!

The Walking Dead News is growing!

The Walking Dead News keeps growing each day and more and more people are finding it, enjoying it and returning to it. First I want to thank all you readers for that. To make The Walking Dead News even better I’m going to do some changes. This is the first of them.

Up until now all twitter activity have been done through the LiljasLibrary account. That is the same account that I use for my Stephen King site, Lilja’s Library. However, at this time the Walking Dead stuff are taking over and because of that I want to separate the two. In order to do so I have created a new twitter account just for The Walking Dead News and you can follow it at @TWDNs. For the time being the Walking Dead news will be posted in both twitter accounts but the plan is to eventually separate the two. My hope is off course that you will be following both accounts but if you only like one of them you will soon find both more specific on each subject.

Any help with spreading the @TWDNs account is appreciated! More changes are coming…

All of you that want a signed Kirkman comic…

OK, attention all of you that’s interested in getting a signed book by Stephen King and or Robert Kirkman (creator of The Walking Dead). Most of you know that I’m alreadt running a contest in which you can win a signed copy of Wolves of the Calla by King and a very limited paperweight, right? Well, today two things happened.

The first thing was that I got a copy of The Best American Short Stories 2007 that’s signed by King. This copy is a donation from a reader to be used as a prize in a contest on Lilja’s Library. How about that?

The second thing that happened today is that I now have a signed (by Robert Kirkman) copy of Days Gone Bye to give to someone. It’s the copy from the contest I ran some time ago at The Walking Dead News. But since I haven’t gotten an address from the winner I haven’t been able to send the prize and will now give it to someone else.

So, I have two signed books from my two favorite authors that wants’ new owners and running two contests at the same time with signed books as prizes doesn’t really make any sense right? So, when the first contest ends on July 31 (the one for the signed Wolves of the Calla) a new one will start. All details will be given on August 1st but I can tell you today already that it would be wise to follow both Lilja’s Library and The Walking Dead News on facebook…and the sooner the better. And don’t be afraid to share and like posts… [just a hint].

King and Kirkman never got to collaborate on The Walking Dead but I have a feeling they will at Lilja’s Library and The Walking Dead News…or at least their signatures…
